Frequently asked questions
Is there a required US invoice layout?
No single federal visual layout is required for ordinary service invoices. Use consistent numbering and include clear seller, client, service, amount, date, tax, and payment information as applicable.
Can I use this as a receipt?
An invoice requests payment. If the client has already paid, mark the payment note as paid and keep the generated PDF as supporting documentation. PawInvoice does not currently create a separate payment receipt.
Does PawInvoice decide whether I should charge sales tax?
No. Tax treatment varies by state and service type. The tax field is optional and should only be enabled when it applies to your business.
